Limited Space & The Smiley Movement Celebrate The Power Of Digital Storytelling
On Thursday, March 20, 2025, the Indigo at The O2 in London buzzed with excitement as the 8th annual Smiley Charity Film Awards celebrated the transformative power of storytelling in the charity sector. Dubbed the "Oscars of the charity world," the event honoured outstanding cause-based films that have made significant impacts over the past year.
Limited Space was privileged to be involved in the event alongside Hello! Magazine and The Bicester Collection, with the ceremony being graced by a host of celebrities, including Una Healy, Patsy Kensit, Patsy Palmer and Anton Ferdinand, all showing their support for the impactful work showcased by various charities. Lisa Snowdon hosted the evening, adding to the evening's glamour and significance.

Our highlight of the evening was being able to sponsor and present the Grand Prix People's Choice Award, a category determined solely by public vote, to worthy winners, the British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS) for their enchanting animation, "The Littlest Hoglet." This heart-warming film, narrated by environmentalist Chris Packham, follows the journey of a young hedgehog as it inadvertently educates viewers on creating safer, more welcoming gardens for hedgehogs. The narrative brings attention to the alarming decline of hedgehog populations in the UK and emphasizes the broader environmental implications of this trend.

Samantha Sida, Co-Founder and Director at Limited Space, shared her thoughts on the event:
“At Limited Space, we are passionate about the power of digital content and how it can convey meaningful stories that resonate with people. The Smiley Charity Film Awards celebrate this potential, and we are honoured to have supported an award that highlights the incredible impact of storytelling. We believe that digital platforms, like our own, have the ability to amplify important causes and engage people on a larger scale in a way that not only captivates audiences but also educates and inspires action.”
As part of Limited Space’s commitment, we were delighted to announce that the award-winning film, "The Littlest Hoglet," will now be featured across its nationwide network of digital Out-of-Home (OOH) screens. This will provide the British Hedgehog Preservation Society's crucial message with the exposure it deserves, reaching millions of people in key locations across the UK.
